Women's Rights

Random thought, but I was just watching Cold Case and the episode was about women's rights. It reminded me of the women in the "The Dead". They planned parties even though they weren't allowed and had a ball. However, part of the case, was during one of the parties, they got caught and were taken to jail. The daughter of the mom hosting the party fought for her rights and got into an argument with her mom-who after being caught, decided to play it safe and shy down. Her daughter wanted to run down to the jail to get all the other women out, but she ended up dying before she got there. It was very interesting to see it before my eyes, and it was clearer to me (because I learn with visuals). It made sense and the women really did have to keep quiet and keep to themselves if they wanted their husbands or dads to continue providing for them. If they rebelled, the father would disown them. They took it extremely seriously. I really feel bad for them.
