Thinking

I've been trying to think what to post about, things are getting kind of repetitive, but here goes. I really enjoyed looking at a different character in Great Expectations and not just focusing on the main characters. Looking at someone new gave me a fresh look at things and a new view. When I see two main characters, I base everything about the book on those people. However, bringing light to a new, smaller character and seeing what their contribution and how their character was different brought a whole new meaning to the book. It's like one of those movies where they make a knock-off and base it off of the villain or the smaller character and you see the story from a different angle. Good idea!

Great Expectations

I am really enjoying these last couple weeks of posts. I really like this book and enjoy bringing out some various discussions about the characters, the themes, morality, etc. It's not one of those books that has just one theme going through it, you can see the many dimensions of the book and how the author tries to relate it to the modern era. It's fascinating and look forward to what's next.

Random

I will admit right now that I have proven myself wrong. I like internet classes, once you get the hang of it. Wish I did more. The discussions and this last essay forced me to think outside of the box. I couldn't just go off of what I knew, I had to do some research. This class has really forced me to go beyond the text into what it truly means. There's something different in each text.
